Procura por seguro de cargas supera marca inédita de R$ 1 bilhão em 2023, diz CNseg

Em cinco anos, mercado segurador desembolsou mais de R$ 2 bilhões em indenizações por cargas roubadas no Brasil

A procura por Seguro de Responsabilidade Civil de Desvio de Carga atingiu R$ 1,1 bilhão em 2023, segundo dados da Confederação Nacional das Seguradoras (CNseg). O valor representa aumento de 8,8% ante o registrado no ano anterior, quando os contratos somaram R$ 982,7 milhões.

Na comparação com 2019, o crescimento foi de 71%, conforme números antecipados à CNN.

O Seguro Desvio de Carga é responsável pela indenização no caso de desaparecimento total da carga, roubo durante o trânsito ou nos depósitos e armazéns, ou roubo praticado durante viagem fluvial complementar à viagem rodoviária, exclusivamente na região Amazônica.

De acordo com a CNseg, o aumento pode ser explicado pela maior preocupação de transportadoras com a segurança financeira do negócio e pela aplicabilidade da Lei 14.599/23, que trouxe mudanças com relação à contratação de seguros de carga.

Pela nova lei, as transportadoras devem contratar obrigatoriamente três novos tipos de seguros de responsabilidade civil: para cobrir perdas ou danos à carga decorrentes de colisão, abalroamento, tombamento, capotamento, incêndio ou explosão; para proteção contra roubo, furto simples ou qualificado, apropriação indébita, estelionato e extorsão simples ou mediante sequestro que afetem a carga durante o transporte; e para cobrir danos corporais e materiais causados a terceiros pelo veículo utilizado no transporte rodoviário de cargas.

No recorte regional, o Sudeste detém a maior participação na arrecadação e pagamento de indenizações pelo produto, com 62% do total arrecadado e 69% de pagamentos.
